• Automatic Renewal can be turned off at any time if you do not want your subscription to renew.
• Automatic renewal will take 30 days expire. Your subscription is extended by a year from the original expiration date.
Upgrading Your Plan
This action can be performed by going to My Site > Plan, choose Plans tab. Select Upgrade below your desired plan and you will be led to a specific page to complete your purchase.
You are able to upgrade your plan anytime you want. The credit for your existing subscription’s remaining time will be applied to your upgrade. For renewals, they will be charged just like the new plan – at full price.
The following example demonstrates when upgrading from a one-year WordPress.com Personal subscription to a one-year WordPress.com Business subscription two months after purchasing the WordPress.com Personal Plan (the currency of prices demonstrated here is USD): $299 – ($48/12) x remaining time) = first payment In case there are still 10 months left on your existing WordPress.com Personal Plan, you would take $48 and divide that by 12 to get the monthly rate of $4. After that, multiply the monthly rate of $4 by the remaining months in your plan (in this case, 10) to get $40. Next, subtract the value of the remaining time from the new plan, in this example, the Business plan for $299. Your first payment would be $299 – $40, or $259. When your new plan come to renewal, it will renew at the full cost of $299 – as our above example.
