Overview
WordPress.com let you customize your blog’s background by uploading an image or choosing a color.
The following video shows you a quick overview of how it works. You can scroll down for more specific information.
Firstly, open Customizer. (If you do not familiar with it, choose My Sites in the admin bar and select Customizer). Then select Color & Backgrounds section.

Setting a Background Image
In order to upload a background image, please select the rectangle and then select Select Image. At this point, you are able to choose an image from your library, or you can upload a new image. When you have finished, click Done to get back to main Colors section.
Background Image Options
After choosing a background image, Options button will show up. Selecting this one and these options will appear:
Position: permits you to arrange your image in these positions in the page: Left (default), Center, or Right.
Repeat: decides if the background image is repeated or not. The options are:
No repeat: only shows background image once on the page.
Title Horizontally: only shows background image horizontally.
Title Vertically: only shows background image vertically.
Title (default): shows background image both vertically and vertically.
Fixed Position: decides if the background image can be scrolled will the content or stay fixed. The default setting is unfixed.
Underlying Color: You can change the underlying color of your background. Your background image’s main color can be matched up when you are not completely tiling yor image.
Hide background image: Select this if you do not want to use a background image anymore, you can hide it.
Setting a Background Color
You can choose a solid background color if you do not want to use a background image. Choose a color from the color palette, or you might want to pick your own color below:
Note: this action will remove your background image if you had background image setting already.
Saving Changes
Please remember to always save your changes by selecting Save & Publish button.
Important things to note
··*Your background color or image might override custom CSS that you created which related to the background of the whole sit. ··*Some of the themes designs with default background images as part of the design. In some cased, these theme-supplied background images are removed whenever you upload your own background image or set a background color. Your customizations can take front and center with that.
